Are you looking for the best beaches to visit in Florida this September?
No worries, I’ve got you covered!
With fall incoming, plans quickly switch from summer beach days to pumpkin patches, but September in Florida is one of the best months to head to the beach.
Boasting the same beautiful temperatures as the height of summer but enjoying more relaxed vibes, this is arguably the ultimate month to head to a Floridian beach.
Marking the start of the shoulder season, travel and accommodation prices are typically less expensive.
Plus, crowd levels are lower with kids back at school and everyone back at work following summer vacations.
If you want to start your fall with a beach getaway, I highly recommend these spots during my favorite time of year to visit Florida beaches.

1. Jupiter
With its beautiful coastal scenery and clear Caribbean-like waters, Jupiter is a top contender for the best Florida beach all year round.
However, the month of September is extra charming with crowds tapering off and the summer’s extreme heat becoming more comfortable.
Evenings are slightly cooler than you’ll find in the peak of summer, but they are the perfect time to enjoy waterfront dining at my favorite restaurant, 1000 North.
As one of Jupiter’s premier dining destinations, it has rave reviews and plenty to choose from, with four dining areas catering to a variety of tastes.
Guanabanas is another favorite of mine, transporting you to a waterfront tropical paradise, renowned for its locally sourced seafood.
While there are no major events held in September, Jupiter offers plenty of ways to enjoy the wholesome vibes of fall.
You can spend time at the weekly farmers markets and there is twilight yoga at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse.
To top off your Jupiter experience, your accommodation is key, and there is no hotel more incredible than the Jupiter Beach Resort and Spa.
Recently renovated, this oceanfront hotel is overflowing with a tropical ambiance while boasting luxury accommodation and one of Palm Beach County’s best new restaurants.
With the Gulf Stream providing Jupiter with some of the clearest waters in the south, it is one of the most breathtaking beaches in Florida and one of my favorites to visit in September.

2. Clearwater Beach
If you’re looking for thrills and high vibes, Clearwater Beach is an incredible option to visit in September.
This month plays host to the Clearwater Super Boat National Championships with high-speed races across the waterfront.
After spending the day watching this adrenaline-fuelled competition, head to Pier 60.
There are street performers and live music charming audiences, and you can witness world-famous sunsets. It is one of my go-to Clearwater spots.
There are also so many restaurants to choose from, but I have to recommend Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill.
With beachfront views, Frenchy’s serves some of the freshest seafood, and you have to try the She Crab soup, it’s famous for a reason!
If you base yourself at the Avalon Club hotel, you should also check out Badfins Food and Brew.
They have 34 local craft beers on tap, an imaginative selection of cocktails, and a unique yet delicious menu of seafood-Mexican fusion.
Postcard-perfect with so much to fill your itinerary, Clearwater Beach offers so much in September.

3. Daytona Beach
No matter which month you visit Florida, you can’t skip the world’s most famous beach, but Daytona in September is simply exceptional.
Renowned worldwide for the iconic Daytona International Speedway, this beach is a destination where the vibes are always electric.
Speaking of the speedway, both RUN DAYTONA and the NASCAR Racing Experience are among the best events in September in Florida.
Another iconic spot in Daytona is the Daytona Bandshell, which I highly recommend spending some time at on your Florida beach vacation in September.
It is a stunning amphitheatre that overlooks the beachfront, and live music continues to be performed on September weekends.
An alternative hotspot for live music is the Landshark Bar & Grill.
Located right on the beach, it serves tropical vibes and welcomes local talent.
While Daytona Beach is full of activity, you can also find tranquility.
The Shores Resort & Spa is located in quieter Daytona shores and is the perfect base for a relaxing Floridian escape in September.
With an onsite spa, direct beach access, and spectacular riverside sunset views, there is no spot that’s more idyllic.

4. Fort Walton Beach
With its glistening turquoise waters and sparkling white sands, Fort Walton Beach is a standout destination on the Gulf Coast.
A popular spot for families, September brings a touch of peace to the area with kids back at school.
The weather in September is also phenomenal, with warm, breezy weather that is extremely enjoyable.
At the end of the month, the Northwest Florida Fair arrives in town with fairground rides, art shows, petting zoos, and so much more.
It also coincides with the Destin Seafood Festival located close by, kicking off the Destin Fishing Rodeo and transforming the boardwalk into a seafood haven.
Seafood is the star attraction here, and there are so many dining locations!
But if seafood is not your thing, my top recommendation is Bay Cafe French Restaurant with old-school local dishes and stunning views.
You can also enjoy waterfront dining at Rockin’ Tacos over on Okaloosa Island.
Okaloosa Island is undoubtedly one of my favorite spots at Fort Walton Beach, and every time I visit, I stay at The Island Resort.
It truly feels like a home away from home, a place where I love relaxation and service.
September at Fort Walton is inviting yet relaxing as the summer crowds start to thin. A month with plenty to do, but a more tranquil atmosphere.
5. Venice Beach
For a true slice of Florida’s raw charm in September, look no further than Venice Beach.
Inn at the Beach offers a relaxing waterfront stay with boutique accommodation just steps from the sand.
Also, just minutes from the heart of Venice, including the best shops and restaurants, it is a great place to stay on your Florida beach vacation in September.
In downtown, Cassariano Italian Eatery is one of the most delicious Italian restaurants I have ever been to.
However, if you enjoy seafood, you simply have to indulge during a visit to Venice Beach, and Crow’s Nest Restaurant serves the freshest seafood with waterside views.
The vibe in Venice in September is wholesome, celebrating community spirit with the Downtown Venice Craft Festival showcasing the best of local artists and crafters.
At the end of the month, the Venice Beach Party is a lively celebration that brings everyone together.
With a reputation as the shark tooth capital of the world, the beachfront itself has so much more to offer than just pristine sands and warm waters.
A fossil hunter’s paradise, it is an amazing destination to explore, and even if you don’t find anything of interest, there is no doubt you will love your Venice experience.

6. Miami Beach
With the month kicking off with Labor Day Weekend, Miami Beach is the perfect destination to spend your three-day weekend.
The events calendar is packed with things to do in Miami Beach, also celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month from the middle of September.
A foodie’s hotspot, it is the perfect time to try a wide variety of dining options, such as the traditional Cuban flavor of Casa Cubana Miami and the mouthwatering tacos served up at Mamas Tacos.
If you’re looking for somewhere cool to stay, Moxy Miami South Beach really impressed me. Stylish and scenic, it is incredibly chic.
This uber trendy hotel has easy access to the beachfront as well as South Beach’s hottest nightclubs.
The temperature here remains hot and humid, so if you like the heat of the summer months but prefer fewer crowds, September is the perfect time to visit.

7. St. Augustine Beach
Arguably one of the most beautiful coastal destinations in Florida, St Augustine Beach is simply breathtaking.
From the iconic pier that stands out across the beachfront to the charming architecture, it is a spot that you will fall head over heels for.
Start your trip to St. Augustine Beach in September by staying at the Casa Monica Resort & Spa.
This famous Floridian hotel is nestled within the Historic District and boasts a Spanish Baroque Revival design that is simply overflowing with charisma.
St Augustine is also renowned for its seafood, with Crabby’s Beachside taking the top spot as the local favorite.
Alternatively, enjoy dining waterside at The Reef with panoramic ocean views.
September is also a popular month for surfing at St. Augustine, with the beach typically receiving the best waves of the year.
Warm ocean waters and a swell from tropical storms 200 miles make it a great month to bring your surfboard to St. Augustine.

8. Hallandale Beach
A lesser-known destination than the numerous iconic beaches across Florida, Hallandale Beach can be considered a hidden gem.
Quiet and peaceful throughout September, it is a great place to unwind.
The Hilton Miami Aventura is one of my favorite places to stay in Hallandale Beach and relax.
It is away from the hustle and bustle, but still close enough to the excitement and beachfront. With a mall across the street, everything you need is at your fingertips.
When it comes to dining, Juniper On The Water is my favorite spot with deck seating over the water.
They serve some of the most incredible calamari I have ever tried, just one of the many phenomenal dishes on the Mediterranean-inspired menu.
Mia Oceanfront is another recommended restaurant, specializing in fusion cuisine.
The highlight of September at Hallandale Beach is the incredible music lineup at Gulfstream Racing, showcasing local homegrown performers every weekend.
Hallandale Beach offers the weather, vibes, and beauty of neighboring Miami without the crowds and business.
Enjoy this corner of Florida at a slower pace and soak up the immaculate Floridian vibes.
