However, just because June marks the start of the peak summer season doesn’t mean that you can’t find moments of tranquility.
Florida is home to many hidden gems that remain peaceful, and some beach fronts are so vast, I have found slices of heaven even when they’re busy.

1. Bradenton Beach
Not far from the hustle and bustle of Tampa and St Petersburg, Bradenton Beach offers a quieter coastal spot than its neighbors.
With the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico lapping against the shore, swimming, paddle boarding, and snorkeling are all delightful at Bradenton in June.
When the heat in southwest Florida is high and days are humid, the ocean offers a refreshing escape without being on the cold side.
Boasting sand like sugar and miles of scenic views, Bradenton offers the classic beauty of an American beachfront with a little taste of the Caribbean. Making it one of the best Florida beaches to visit in June!

2. Miami Beach
If you’re in search of a vibrant and exciting beach to visit in June, look no further than Miami.
With vacationers from across the globe flocking to Miami Beach in June, it becomes a land of activity and culture.
It is a great place to try out new hobbies and meet new people, with events and sports always popping up along the beach.
In my opinion, Miami Beach is also one of the best dining spots in Florida, with plenty of influence from Mexico and the Caribbean.
Bahía is a phenomenal spot, conveniently located in my favorite Miami Beach hotel, Four Seasons.
June is also a month at Miami Beach that is overflowing with cultural events, live concerts, and art festivals, as Miami welcomes massive Juneteenth celebrations.
Yard House becomes a popular spot on Juneteenth weekend, and I love the wide range of craft beers they have on offer to complement the globally-inspired menu.

3. Marco Island
Boasting beautiful weather year-round, there is no bad time to visit Marco Island, but if you enjoy the heat, June is a phenomenal time to visit when the weather is hottest.
The white sand beaches and glistening turquoise waters are postcard perfection, which makes them extremely popular in the summer months.
The good news is that the beaches at Marco Island are so vast that you will never struggle to find plenty of space along the shoreline.
There are also multiple hotels along the beachfront that offer easy access, including the incredible Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort and my top choice, Marco Beach Ocean Resort.
The warm waters are great for swimming, and the soft sands are perfect for lying out.
But if you want a truly unique experience at Marco Island, search for the rare seashells that often wash up on this corner of Florida.
After exploring the beach, stop by Snook Inn, a Marco Island restaurant that is considered a landmark.
The sunsets are incredible here, and the cocktails are my personal favorite. If seafood is up your street, check out Fin Bistro, the premier fish restaurant on Marco Island.
4. Cocoa Beach
Cocoa Beach is undoubtedly one of Florida’s most impressive vacation spots.
Famous for its surf breaks, it has been one of the state’s most popular surfing spots for decades.
Also home to the Florida Surf Museum, it offers the laid-back surfing culture that is a delight to experience on vacation.
With the iconic Cocoa Beach Pier one of the area’s landmarks, there is plenty to do for all the family.
There is an excellent selection of entertainment, shops, bars, and restaurants stretching 800 feet over the Atlantic Ocean, including Pier 62 Oceanfront Restaurant and the Boardwalk Bar.
For families, it is also considered to be one of the safest beaches in Florida, with lifeguards on duty year-round. Making it one of the best Florida beaches to visit in June!
My family stayed at the Beachside Hotel & Suites, and the kids loved swimming here. Courtyard Cocoa Beach is an alternative option, suitable for families or adults.
However, the beach’s most notable quality is its location on Florida’s Space Coast.

5. Clearwater Beach
For anyone enjoying a city break in Tampa or St Petersburg, Clearwater Beach is just a stone’s throw away, allowing you to enjoy an oceanfront vacation day during your trip.
Offering a subtropical climate, Clearwater provides an incredible beach day that is made all the more impressive by the dolphin activity in this location.
I was eating at Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill when I got an incredible view of dolphins swimming in the gulf.
With crystal-clear waters, visitors to Clearwater Beach can also encounter the wider underwater world.
This area is abundant with different marine species, making it an incredible spot for snorkelling.
However, if snorkeling isn’t your thing, the beachfront also offers a variety of glass-bottom boat tours that allow everyone an immersive encounter with the local sea life.
There is also a great nightlife vibe at Clearwater Beach, and June hosts the Clearwater Beach Pool Party and Movie Night. The best place to stay here is at the Avalon Club.
It’s modern, spacious, and right on the beach!
6. Fernandina Beach
There is no doubt that Fernandina Beach is one of the most historic coastal spots in all of Florida.
Home to the oldest saloon in the state and the birthplace of the modern shrimping industry, Fernandina Beach is overflowing with Floridian heritage.
The historic district is bursting with Victorian architecture while shrimp boats depart the docks on an almost daily basis.
For a taste of the ocean, Salt Life Food Shack has a relaxed surf vibe and serves up the most eclectic range of seafood.
The most iconic piece of history here is Amelia Island Lighthouse, Florida’s oldest lighthouse, which was built in 1838.
Sending its beams long before Florida was a state, it is a true symbol of the state’s heritage.
Sandbar Amelia Island is also worth visiting here, with great seafood and burgers on the menu.
A beautiful area to explore, I recommend staying at Courtyard Amelia Island, one of the most charming hotels on the Florida coast.
All of this history and heritage is complemented by the quaint and idyllic coastline with 13 miles of soft white sands and magnificent sunsets that will take your breath away.

7. Mexico Beach
Considered to be one of the best small town vacation spots, Mexico sits in the Florida panhandle, boasting a phenomenal location.
El Governor Beach Resort is a Mexico Beach hotel that also offers this incredible location, however, for more charm, I recommend Sand Castle, a perfect, idyllic beachfront spot.
Pristine sands and glistening waters are as scenic as the neighboring Caribbean, whilst also offering incredible Gulf fishing that this corner of the world is famous for. Making it one of the best Florida beaches to visit in June!

A quieter area than many of Florida’s beach destinations, Mexico Beach has a hometown vibe where you can soak up relaxation and local life.
The true essence of southern living, Mexico Beach is a taste of old Florida.

8. Ormond Beach
Renowned as the birthplace of speed, in Ormond Beach’s history, visitors would flock here for year-round entertainment!
The first Daytona Beach automobile races were held on the compacted sand between Daytona and Ormond in 1902.
Not only is Ormond Beach steeped in American history, but it also has a small-town feel with stunning coastal views.
Rose Villa Restaurant is my favorite restaurant in Ormond Beach, one that matches the vibe perfectly and has incredible food to match. 63 Sovereign is another top choice that I can’t recommend enough.
I also recommend the Hilton Vacation Club The Cove on Ormond Beach if you’re in search of accommodation.
The 30-mile Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail, which covers the coastline of Ormond Beach, is one of the most picturesque and enjoyable walks to enjoy in June.
Kayaking, surfing, and boat rentals are also very popular at Ormond Beach, with breathtaking scenery to admire.

9. Venice
With an offshore coastal reef and shark teeth often found along the shore, Venice is one of the most popular spots in not only Florida, but America, for snorkeling and diving.
The underwater world is vibrant with a staggering array of fish and marine life.
Shark tooth dive trips are one of the most popular excursions in Venice, while those who prefer to stay dry may prefer to embark on one of the equally incredible dolphin boat tours.
Not only is Venice home to colorful reefs and abundant sea life, but it also boasts some of the most exceptional sunsets on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

10. Pompano Beach
Nestled at the heart of Florida’s Gold Coast, Pompano Beach is the very definition of sunshine.
Hot sunny days seem to sparkle as the turquoise waters glisten and the sugar-white sands glitter in the sunlight.
Beach House Pompano is a great spot to grab a bite to eat and admire the views, but I love the imaginative cocktails at Lucky Fish.
It is known for offering some of the warmest and clearest waters on the Gold Coast, ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and even diving.
Named after the Pompano, a species of tropical game fish that is native to the area, the offshore coral reef is a popular dive spot. There are also numerous wreck sites and other impressive dive spots nearby too.
With the city skyline as the beach’s backdrop, Pompano Beach is the perfect combination of coastal and urban, offering the best of both worlds to any vacationer.
